JD’s at Trails Head Set to Open Summer 2026
A new neighborhood restaurant + bar coming to the south side
BROOKINGS, SD — A fresh dining experience is coming to the south side of town as JD’s at Trails Head announces its official opening in Summer 2026. Located at the corner of 12th St. South/Trails Ridge Road and Main Ave., this brand-new restaurant and bar will break ground at the start of 2026, marking the beginning of an exciting addition to the neighborhood.
JD’s at Trails Heads will be owned and operated by the Craft Chophouse team, bringing the same commitment to hospitality, quality, and community connection that Craft is known for. Designed to be a warm, welcoming gathering place, JD’s will offer classic bar-food favorites with an upscale twist, creating a space where families, friends, and neighbors can enjoy elevated comfort food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Featured in the announcement photo is the leadership team behind both Craft Chophouse and JD’s: Jesse & Jen Davis, Kolton Mohror, and Keegan Nelson. With decades of combined restaurant experience, the team is eager to bring this vision to life and welcome guests through the doors next summer.
