🇺🇸 The Pheasant will be closed Sunday and Monday as we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to others.

In a time when so much divides us, Memorial Day reminds us of the sacrifice these Americans made to defend the dignity of every life and the idea that we belong to one another.

However you gather, whoever you are, and whatever this country means to you, we hope this weekend brings moments of rest, reflection, community, and some chill time with the ones you love most.

What a night for The Pheasant, and for Brookings!

At Taste of Brookings, our Americana-inspired Scalloped Potatoes and Ham was honored with People’s Choice for Main Entrée, and our Carrot Cake with Carrot Cake Crème Liqueur received the Silver Spoon for dessert.

We are deeply grateful to our community for this support. For 77 years, you have made The Pheasant part of your celebrations, your traditions, and your everyday lives. We never take that for granted. It is what drives us.

We are also incredibly honored to be recognized by Visit Brookings as the 2025 Larson Family Tourism Champion. In a community shaped by so many exceptional people, organizations, and places, that recognition is truly humbling.

Most of all, we are so proud of our team. Their talent, care, and commitment are what make moments like this possible. This was a full team effort. Everything we do is made possible only by their hard work and dedication.

Thank you, Brookings, for cheering us on, voting for us, and continuing to hold The Pheasant close through the years.

And as Brookings turns the page to a new chapter with the Brookings Regional Growth Alliance, we feel genuine optimism for all that is ahead. We love this community, and we are proud to keep serving old friends and new.
