AWESOME

A young condor just made history 🦅

A 2-year-old California condor became the first free-flying condor documented in Oregon since 1904 after traveling more than 380 miles in just four days. Conservationists say the journey marks an important milestone in efforts to restore the endangered species to parts of its historic range in the Pacific Northwest.

The flight comes just months after the Northern California Condor Restoration Program recorded its first nesting attempt. While challenges remain, conservationists say milestones like this show encouraging progress for a species that was once on the brink of extinction.
