Weekly recap, or whitest dancing you've ever seen recap? A little late here, but we really appreciate you all bearing with us and giving us some much needed grace while we took a couple days to clean up and recharge. Last week was awesome. We kept getting busier as the week went on, culminating in a huge Friday lunch rush with Celeste and Lora, followed by another packed dining room for dinner, and a Saturday that was busy as it's ever been. We had a great crowd for the Penn state football game which was handled perfectly by Nicole and Katelynn.
Then we had our proverbial OGs, the dream team combo of Holly and Rosemary for a very busy dinner rush. While I keep replaying a couple dishes I would've plated differently, a couple prep items I would've doubled up the stock on, we got through it as we always do, following the tone set by our leading ladies in the front of the house. I still don't know how they serve 60 people at once so throughly. It's magic in motion. If you've never dined with us, come check it out for yourselves. You just won't find a team of women who work harder than our 12 servers. This video recap is a unique one. Monday night we served a different kind four top, or four legged top fa watch for the clip of the male deer nodding at Larry. Two bucks acknowledging eachother's families. Pretty cool. Also, we got to watch the Phillies play together as a family for the first time in a few weeks. At about the 1 minute mark, there's a quote from Jesus luzardo that I think we all could glean a little something from; we're all a little stronger than we know. At the end of this recap is a list of 432 people I could think of who have left a mark on the pines tavern, whether in the building, online, or in most cases both. I love you guys, and I'm sorry if I forgot names that my parents would more easily remember. I'm not the brightest bulb in the crayon box.
Thank you all for allowing us a couple days to reflect and recharge in eachother's company. Subbing out the fluorescent kitchen lighting for some sunlight was much needed. Stay tuned for announcements regarding new specials, and little commercial in the works. Love ya
