We created this special for the day everyone waits all week for. It’s perfect for when you’re headed to Cow Palace, a dinner with family after work, a meal before the game, or a stop on your way to or from SFO.

The special features some of our most popular dishes:

🐷 Our Sisig recipe was developed with help from Vanessa’s cousin-in-law and quickly became one of our most-loved dishes.

⏳ Our Famous Pork Adobo takes 72 hours to cook and it took 8 years to perfect the recipe.

🍲 Our Arroz Caldo was added during Filipino American History Month in 2023 after Vanessa, Chef Roxy, and Mama Cleo wanted to create something nostalgic that reminded people of home.

Filipino food has been part of 7 Mile House for over 20 years, and now we’re bringing some of our favorite dishes together in one Friday special.

With ube and Filipino flavors trending everywhere right now, we love seeing Filipino food finally getting the spotlight it deserves. 💜

But beyond the trends, these dishes carry stories, memories, and family traditions passed down for generations. We believe it’s important to know who you’re supporting and the people behind the recipes.

For over 20 years, Filipino flavors have been part of who we are at 7 Mile House. FUN FACT: Vanessa first introduced Filipino food to our menu in 2004!

In honor of Philippine Independence Day (when the Philippines declared freedom from Spanish rule in 1898), we’re celebrating with two fan-favorite specials, available through June 29:

🍗 Chicken Adobo: our recipe comes from owner Vanessa’s mother-in-law, Aurora. It’s widely considered the unofficial national dish of the Philippines and is tied to comfort, home, and family gatherings.

Happy AANHPI Heritage Month!! 🥳 We are proud to be Filipino-owned and serve our take on Filipino food in the Bay Area 🇵🇭

Fun fact: Filipino food wasn’t always on our menu! 🤯

Vanessa, our current owner, took over 7 Mile House in 2004. When she did, her and her mom (Mama Cleo) started introducing adobo, sisig, and lumpia to our guests through “Filipino Tuesdays.”

Back then, Filipino food and culture wasn’t as popular or well known as it is today, so it was a challenge getting people to try the food!

Eventually, guests kept coming back for more. And now, Filipino food has become a staple on our menu 💜

We ALWAYS get asked... why are you called 7 Mile House?

Before we were a restaurant, we were a toll gate approximately 7 miles from San Francisco’s Portsmouth Square. This new toll road was a shortcut built by three entrepreneurs to ease traffic on the older El Camino Real route.

Eventually, we became a mile house.

Mile houses emerged in California in 1849, when the Gold Rush exploded San Francisco’s population and created demand for overland travel down the peninsula to San Jose.

Now, we are proudly the Bay Area’s last mile house left standing in its original location; and we’re a multigenerational, family-owned restaurant serving American, Italian, and Filipino food!
