The phone calls have been made. The text messages sent. It’s all still quite surreal. Our hearts have broken a thousand times over the last two days. It is with great sadness we are letting our bowling & co****le family know as of January 9, 2022, Candlelite Sports will no longer be open. Here are the facts I feel compelled to share with all of you.
.. edit.... legal edit... edit.....
I am sharing this because these are things, we at Candlelite, cannot control. We have worked hard these last two years to build relationships with the people who have came through our doors. We value each and every one of you. It breaks our heart and hurts our soul to have been put in this position. Our plans between now and January 8, 2022 are this:
We are still open. Our hours are as follows:
Friday, 12/17/21 until Midnight
Saturday, 12/18/21 3:00 pm until Midnight (last Pioneer Mixed league bowl & rock n bowl)
Sunday, 12/19/21 Closed (2 private events are still being held as scheduled)
Monday, 12/20/21 Closed (open for school practices only)
Tuesday, 12/21/21 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm
Wednesday, 12/22/21 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm (private event 12-3)(last Stinkers & Drinkers and Trios league, co****le meet)
Thursday, 12/23/21 3:00 – 10:00 pm (private event 11-1)(last national league) last day of “regular business”
Monday, 12/27/21 private event 9:30pm – 1am
Tuesday, 12/28 – Thursday, 12/30/21 open noon – 4:00 pm for locker cleanout
January 4 – 7 by appointment only
In the face of pure and utter sadness, we still won. We’ve built relationships, found friends that turned into family and learned a lot about ourselves along the way. This story has been a good one filled with memorable characters, laughter, near death experiences and its fair share of plot twists. To call it anything less than an adventure would be selling it short.
So while we don’t know what the future holds for any of us, we do know that God has a plan and, tonight, we lay it all at His feet. We can’t carry the weight of worry & fear any more. We’re giving it to God & going to wake tomorrow with a smile knowing we did the best we could with the time we had. Thank you for putting your faith and trust in us. You will forever hold a place in our hearts.
It’s time to turn the page.
