Without question, the most exciting V8 show bull of the past two years has been Mr. V8 451/9 “HullaBULLoo.” From his very first trip to Houston to his recent string of Grand Championships, he has been a dominant force on the tanbark and now heads into his final stretch at Houston 2026.
He was named the 2024 Reserve National Champion Bull and the 2024 World Brahman Congress Reserve Grand Champion.
Our partners at Walters Livestock shared the numbers behind the banners. Hully has been shown 30 times. In 28 of those appearances, he was either Division Champion (21 times) or Reserve Division Champion (7 times). He has claimed 13 Grand Championships and 5 Reserve Grand Championships. That level of consistency is rare.
With Pathfinder’s untimely death and his semen permanently off the market, we look to HullaBULLoo as the leading son of Sloan in terms of long-term sire potential that people have the opportunity to invest in. A little darker pigmentation than Sloan, a little heavier b***d, a little tighter sheathed - but all the muscle and style that is expected today.
We trust his cow family without hesitation. His maternal great granddam is the legendary +Miss V8 410/6, a female many regarded as the ideal Brahman cow.
