Now that I have a chance to breathe, i would like to speak on a few things.

I want to thank everyone that was apart of the dream that was Droke's diamond mine. Thank yall for the long hours, thank yall for great memories, thank yall for the laughs and most of all thank yall for the time we spent together. Without yall none of this would have been possible. I'm sorry this has come to a end like this, I feel like my decision to not give in has absolutely fu**ed an entire community. I also want to give thanks to Emerald Billiards Pool Hall and Jim's for picking up my slack and allowing the events we had on the calendar to be played at their places. Yall are the true MVPs!!!

This year has been filled with some of the most amazing highs and some of the most terrible lows but yet we march on. For 123 teams for my cancer benefit to being forced to closed. From trying to help everyone I could to being the one in need of that same help. This life has give me some lemons..... but it has also given me some of the greatest people it has to offer. The life I have lived so far hasn't been easy but it has been a fulfilling.

Droke's has had the opportunity to help a little league baseball team go to Omaha, helped a football program bounce back after a terrible fire, countless teams go to Vegas and so much more..... and NONE OF IT would have been possible without yall. Thank you pool community for all that we were able to accomplish together.

To everyone we were able to help, I wish we could have done more. For all of those I couldn't help, I'm sorry and will try to do better.

Bon Temps players: after some thoughts I have decided that I won't pay out the top players but nor will I force people to drive the extra minutes to emeralds. I will be refunding everyone their tournament money. I'm moving the bar this week, so next week ( maybe Tuesday. We'd, or Thursday) I will go to Jim's and everyone can come and get their money.

Come raise a glass with us! We will keep everyone posted in the months to come on the progress of a new building. But tonight will be Droke's Friday Farewell 9-ball Tournament! The bracket is full with the top most played players of the Friday Nighr Tournament. The Bounty Pot will be added to the tournament money and the 10-ball break and run will be cashed out. I will go live for the break and run so keep an eye out for us tonight around 10pm. This is not the end but a new beginning. We love yall and thank you to everyone for the help and the support you've shown us. 🥰

This is one of the most heartbreaking post I have every had to make and I'm truly sorry for everyone this will effect. But the bar is being force to close in 2 weeks.

Our land lease is up and the land owner (Preston Guidry) said he wouldn't sign a new lease to us unless he became a 50/50 partner in the bar.
To which I said no. After 3 lawyers and a very long talk with sheriff's to find out that his demands are 100% within his "legal " rights to do and I can either give him his demands or close my buniess.

I have spent the last couple of days trying to find ways to continue the events and leagues we had planned on our books. With the help of Emerald Billiards Pool Hall and Jim's Lounge pool we seem to have most of them covered to be able to be finished. We will play league play this week in bar (all apa and bca matches like normal) and after which bca leagues will be moved to emeralds on Monday and Wednesday to he completed there. We are moving into the bye weeks of apa for playoffs. It will be up go the teams to choose where they would like to move their teams to be able to continue.

The event for breaking dry will be moved to Jim's Lounge next Saturday.

As for our bon temp monthly players, yall have 2 options. 1 emeralds has open their doors to us to continue it out of their bar or option 2 we can simply pay out on the standings now. I will make a post later today or tomorrow asking which yall would like to do.

The class by Chris Reinhold Pool Player is still on for Sunday.

I know this post will come with a million questions and I will do my nest to answer them as best I can in a timely manner.
