To the extended Americano Family,
Americano, our humble little bistro, will be closing on September 26th because of our inability to secure a lease with One Bratenahl Place.
This is heartbreaking to us, as we have so enjoyed serving delicious meals and drinks to you over the past 7+ years, and deeply wanted to continue. Despite massive effort on both parts, the board has decided to go in a new direction with the restaurant. We had no control as to the timing, though we have attempted to secure a longer term commitment since late last year.
As you probably are aware, Americano was a small, personal, labor of love which was created by Vytauras Sasnauskas and myself. In fact, it was the first restaurant either of us had owned. We have brought many of you to Bratenahl for the first time to share in a fine meal and the lovely surrounds of Bratenahl Place, and of course catered to our fabulous residents.
With no time or options, we invite you to stop in these last two weeks, for a drink or a meal, or to chat about our successes (and if you must, our failures). Our last dinner service will be Saturday September 26th. We will keep you all posted on our progress searching for a new location as we look to create another unique dining experience.
If you are able to stop, please call for a reservation as we may become busy at any moment. Also consider joining us for our Americano Pizza Café, Tuesday evenings 5:00-7:00PM (weather permitting) or one of our Fantastic Big Wine Sales, Thursdays 5:00-7:00PM (for the duration).
It has been an adventure for us and such a pleasure to host you all. On behalf of our talented staff, employees past and present, and Chef V, we thank you deeply for the accolades, endless kind words, and loyal patronage. It has been an absolute pleasure.
