🚧 Road Work Alert 🚧

ROAD WORK UPDATE – WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026

Today, Lewis County Highway crews will be paving the area of Number Four Road in the Town of Lowville where the large culvert pipe was recently replaced.

Motorists traveling through this area should expect delays while paving operations are underway. If possible, please consider using an alternate route.

Once work on Number Four Road is complete, crews will move to West Road in the Town of Turin, between State Route 26 and West Main Street, to pave a small section of roadway. Crews will also be completing several smaller snowmobile crossing locations throughout the day.

We are primarily highlighting the Number Four Road location due to the higher traffic volume in that area.

Please slow down, use caution around our crews and equipment, and thank you for your patience while this work is completed.
