Last week, the Capone family lost our true matriarch. Our beloved Nonna was the heart of our family and the soul behind everything we do. Her strength, love, and old school Italian values shaped not only our lives but the very foundation of Capone’s.
Some of our original recipes trace directly back to her hands. Dishes like our homemade Escarole and Beans and Broccoli Rabe were made the same way she prepared them for our family and we proudly use those very same recipes in our kitchen today. She would come in bright and early, long before the doors opened, quietly getting to work so everything was ready with care and pride. The work ethic and discipline she lived by were passed down to her grandchildren and continue to define how we operate every single day.
If you have ever felt warmth in our restaurant or tasted love in our food, it came from her.
We will honor her by continuing to work hard & serve our community the way she taught us.
Rest easy Nonna. Your legacy lives on in every dish we serve.
