Since 2012, the series has been a trusted name amongst artists, audience members and the greater community of Southwest MT and beyond. Live From The Divide has been renovated and is now open for gatherings of any type! Private shows, private get-togethers, small business events, and anything else you want a unique spot to host up to 50 + people. Pricing varies depending on event type and corresponding sound + lighting needs.

Livingston songwriter Lena Rich explores heartbreak, uncertainty and the stubborn persistence of hope on her new album, Emerald City. Drawing from classic alt-country and indie rock, the record pairs thoughtful songwriting with warm guitar tones, rich harmonies and flashes of dry humor.

Songs like “Black Box” and “We’re All Gonna Die” find Rich navigating some of life’s heavier questions without losing her sense of perspective. It’s a collection shaped by years of independent touring and a willingness to find beauty even in difficult circumstances.

This Friday, Lena and her band bring Emerald City to Live From The Divide for an album release celebration in Livingston.

Three lead vocalists, a six-piece band and a sound that moves between roots rock, indie and soul. Boston-based Copilot brings a lot of musical ground together, with layered harmonies and the energy of a band built for live performance.

After appearances at festivals including Boston Calling, Levitate and Grand Point North, they’re making their way to Livingston for their first performance at Live From The Divide.

We’re looking ahead to Lena Rich’s hometown performance on Oct. 23, Fred Eaglesmith in November, and Boston-based six-piece Copilot making their Live From The Divide debut on Nov. 18.

Livingston songwriter Lena Rich has spent much of the past decade taking her music on the road, building an audience through self-booked tours and performances alongside artists including The Local Honeys and Anaïs Mitchell.

Her new album, Emerald City, draws on that experience with a sound that moves between alt-country, indie rock and the kind of songwriting that finds humor and hope even in difficult circumstances.

Next Friday, Lena brings those songs home for a performance at Live From The Divide.

Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee bring their intertwined banjos, close harmonies and quietly compelling songwriting back to our listening room for a Friday night in Livingston.

Their previous visits have filled nearly every seat in the room. Tomorrow, we get to welcome them back.

The last time John Moreland played Live From The Divide was in 2022.

Later that year, after wrapping his tour, Moreland stepped away from performing entirely. No shows for a year. No smartphone for six months. After nearly a decade on the road, he needed some distance.

“At the end of that year, I was just like ‘Nobody call me,’” Moreland says. “I needed to not do anything for a while and just process.”

What came out of that time away was Visitor, an intimate record Moreland made at home in Oklahoma in just ten days, playing nearly every instrument himself.

Four years after this video was taken, John Moreland returns to Live From The Divide.

The names are up on the marquee and we’ve got a full stretch of live music ahead in downtown Livingston.

The Lowest Pair return to Live From The Divide Friday, followed by English songwriter Will Varley on Saturday. Then we’re back Tuesday night with John Moreland, with a limited number of tickets remaining.

October weekends fill up quickly around here. If yours still has room for a night of live music, we know a pretty good place.
