No. 1, aka “The Hooks” and “The Hookies”. We are a 501c3, non-profit organization offering a members only social club (Tap Room) and an open to everyone banquet hall (Friendship Hall). The "Tap Room" is located on the south end of the building with the main entrance located in the alley off Warwick Street. A person must become a member before being able to enjoy the socialization at the Hooks. Bei
ng a members only club allows us to offer entertainment and beverages at the lowest prices allowed. The “Friendship Hall” is a large banquet room located in the center of the building with entrances located in the front of the building off Warwick St and the rear of the building from the parking lot. It is available for rent to both members and the general public for various types of events. How do you become a member? To become a member is relatively easy. Simply visit the social club with a current member in good standing and sign our guest register. Have the member sponsor you by asking the on duty bartender for a membership application and follow the instructions for properly filling out the application and pay the first years membership dues along with a small application fee and you will be propositioned at the next regular Company Meeting. If your proposition is approved your application will be turned over to the Membership Committee who will check to assure you meet any qualifications needed to be a member. They will then propose you be accepted at the following regular Company Meeting. At that time your membership card and access key card will be mailed directly to the address on your application. Can I visit as a guest? A person age 21 years or older may visit as a guest as long as they are accompanied by a current member. The member must register the guest upon arrival and the guest can only stay as long as the member. A person may only be a guest three times before they will be asked to pay the application fee and membership dues to officially become an active member. The Hooks recognizes membership cards from other fire companies but only for one visit and you must still be accompanied by a current member. The bar tender has the right to accept or deny entrance to any person not showing current membership. The guest will also be required to show proof of age with a valid picture ID upon arrival. What is there to do at The Hooks? The Tap Room is a place that has two FREE regulation size billiard tables, a full size shuffleboard, dartboard, and juke box. With the exception of the jukebox all the games are free for any member to enjoy while socializing at the Hooks. We have participated in both the local pool leagues and the local dart league. We have been fortunate enough to have championship teams representing The Hooks. Small games of chance, Keno, lottery and skill machines are also available. What are the hours of operation? Our normal hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 8:00AM till 11:00PM and from 10:00AM to 6:00PM on Sundays. Hours may vary during holidays or other special occasions. What refreshments are available? We offer a full range of domestic and imported beers both in bottles and on tap. We also have a full service mixed drink bar. Along with that we have available soda in both fountain style and canned. For you early risers we have freshly brewed coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate available, not only in the morning but during all hours of operation. On Fridays we usually have a lunch special from 11-1 in addition to our grill and fryers which are open all the time during normal hours. Food and drink options may vary upon availability, holidays or other special occasions. How can I find out what’s going on at “The Hooks”? Check us out here on Facebook! Monthly member meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 8pm with occasional exceptions. Meetings are open to all members in good standing to attend. Two free drink tickets (redeemable that night only after the meeting) are given to all that attend. Up coming events, projects and other business is discussed at these meetings. From time to time committees are appointed to handle certain projects and volunteers are sometimes needed to assist.
