The Aquitaine Group, with an abundance of fond memories, is announcing the closing of Gaslight Brasserie du Coin at the end of brunch service this Sunday, November 22. Gaslight has been a Boston restaurant institution for 15 years and with our lease expiring, we have decided to close our doors and look to the future. The closing of Gaslight, along with loss of Cinquecento earlier this year to a flood, marks an end to The Aquitaine Group's pioneering presence on Harrison Avenue.
We would most sincerely wish to thank our loyal guests who have made Gaslight and Cinquecento part of their memories over these many years . Additionally, we would like to thank all of our team members through the years who have made our guest's memories possible with their hospitality, smiles and warmth. Lastly, we would like to thank our neighbors, friends and vendors who have supported us and helped make both restaurants two of the city's favorites.
The Aquitaine Group is moving off of Harrison Avenue and we are looking forward to new endeavors in 2021. We are bullish on Boston and the restaurant community that serves our city just as we have, for over 25 years and running at Aquitaine Boston, Aquitaine Chestnut Hill and Metropolis Cafe.
