Acoustically superb Jordan Hall is the heart and soul of New England Conservatory and is central to the musical life of New England, with performances by the world's leading soloists and ensembles interspersed with NEC recitals and concerts. The hall has been an obligatory stop on the international concert circuit from Jacques Thibaud and Harold Bauer in 1903 to Gil Shaham and Thomas Quasthoff today.

Today, we are extremely pleased to announce that Andrea Kalyn will become the 17th president of New England Conservatory! Her deep commitment to music excellence, her strong relationship with faculty, and her profound sense of responsibility for music education as a force in the world results in a distinctive leadership profile and we look forward to her joining us in January 2019. As we just concluded celebrations of NEC’s 150th year, Kalyn’s appointment marks a historic moment as we turn to the future. Learn more at www.necmusic.edu/presidential-announcement.
