The Thirsty Painters

Formerly known as The Uncorked Canvas. My name is Bree. I currently reside in Boonville, NY. I went to Cazenovia College and received my BFA in Studio Art and minored in Art History. I took a year off, unsure as to what I wanted to do. I decided to go back to school and received my Master's in Art Education from SUNY Oswego. I am K-12 certified. Currently, I teach art once a week at a K-6 Catholic

school. It was the summer of 2013 that began the start to what has now become my current passion and career. My best friend from Maine, whom I graduated Cazenovia College with, decided to go on an adventure. We flew into Las Vegas and traveled for three weeks in a brand new Chevy Camaro Convertible. We visited eleven different states and put on a lot of miles. So it was in San Fransisco and Denver that I saw these sip and paint studios. Curiosity led me to research when I got home from the trip. I found a local sip and paint studio, visited and took the class. I was blown away! It was so much fun and I couldn't believe at how amazing the paintings had all come out! It was truly a splendid evening out, as my friend and I painted, drinking our favorite wine, laughing, enjoying music, and meeting new people! It was also very therapeutic to relax and just paint. Back home, I was currently bar tending and waiting tables at a fun local establishment. Since my bosses are so awesome, they let me host my first class in the dining room. It was a huge success! I decided that starting The Thirsty Painters was my opportunity to fulfill my dreams of having a career in art as well as owning my own business. Being that I live in such a small town, I thought I would begin by traveling. To me, The Thirsty Painters offers a unique, fun, and creative new way for a night out. It is a way to bring art into all of these communities that may not have opportunities to experience art. I provide my services to allow people in the communities that may have always been curious about art or have wanted to try painting but haven't had the courage or opportunity to do so. It makes me so excited to share this concept with places around me! Whether it's a night out with the girls, a date night, bachelorette party, mother-daughter bonding, or any other special occasion, I'm excited to share this night filed with creativity and fun! Come join us in an exciting night out! As I continue to expand my business with different locations, ideas such as house-warming parties, corporate building parties, kids birthday parties, etc. I truly could not have gotten this far without the love, support, and courage of my family and friends.
