So by now you probably have all heard about the revitalization project of Howard Street, and we are so excited that it is finally underway! We have been met with lots of questions about how this will affect us and other businesses on Howard, and we are here to keep you informed! We will be operating business as usual, with just a different way to get to us!
As of April 21st, they have allowed Howard Street to become a two-way, with you all being able to access the road from Water street, to use our parking lot. As the project progresses, we will be posting links on our website updating you all with road closures and the best place for you all to park and come eat with us. We appreciate your continued support of not only us, but all of our neighbors here on Howard Street.

We are officially starting the Howard Street Revitalization Project! And what a beautiful day it is to begin. You may have noticed barricades and "Road Closed Ahead" signage posted on or near King Street, Rivers Street, South Depot Street, and Howard Street while driving through. This is because the construction at the intersection of South Depot Street/Howard Street has begun!
To begin this project, necessary underground utilities have to be installed at the South Depot Street/Howard Street intersection. Though an interesting starting place, it is essential for the Howard Street Revitalization Project as a whole. Please remember the following during this time:
Pedestrians: Please follow all marked areas that indicate where pedestrian traffic should be. This is to ensure the safety of both you and the crews working on this section of Howard Street. Please also remember that Howard Street, from South Depot Street to Burrell Street (near Wildwood Community Market, Hope Pregnancy Center, and more) will temporarily be used as a two-way street. Remember to be mindful of this change and to pay attention to vehicular traffic.
Motorists: To access Rivers Street from King Street (or vice versa), please use Burrell Street. Vehicular traffic is prohibited at this intersection during this construction phase, again to protect both you and the crews working. While Howard Street, from South Depot Street to Burrell Street, has been converted to two-way traffic, this is a temporary change. Please be cautious of pedestrian traffic and drive slowly in this area. If there is a barricade and/or a sign that says "Road Work Ahead" or "Road Closed Ahead," honor these signs and take a different route.
This intersection will be closed for the near future. Businesses located on Howard Street are still open and available to the public. Make sure to visit www.townofboone.net/howardstreet for all Howard Street-related updates.
