I'm one of only a handful of mobile bars in Iowa that actually gets licensing in place for events, and here is why-
It's a pain in the ass.
But after doing this for 9 years I KNOW the process & have gotten hundreds of licenses. Nothing grinds my gears more than someone in local authority trying to "tell" me the process because they dropped the ball.
As the licensee- we can see when the application is delivered to local authority. I get updates all along the way. But I've also learned in the last 9 years that it's not worth arguing but to look for a better path to serve my clients.
I'm going to be making adjustments to my event rental packages to make this a more hassle free experience for both myself & my clients. Local & State both receive $ for licensing fees but now with their "no refund" policy, why would they play fair?
It's time for a change, friends. ❤️
