Last week the Idaho Whitewater Association (http://idahowhitewater.net) hosted a member meeting, executive board election, and a guest speaker that provided insight and intel into Idaho's river drainages and river predictions based on snow pack and snow water equivalent. For those that like to geek out on the data or simply couldn't make the meeting, this is for you.

Welcome to the official page (not GROUP) of the Idaho Whitewater Community. This is the place where we will work on promotion of this PAGE and the GROUP of the same name. This PAGE will be used for contests and promoting events (things going on in the community and events to get involved in). The GROUP will be used for comments, banter, and lively discussion.

Confused yet? Me too! It is very difficult to promote a group and administer giveaways on a group page. This is the next best alternative that doesn't cost money! An epic season of rafting with all this snowmelt is soon to be upon us and I'd rather spend money on gear than promoting a silly page on Facebook!

I apologize in advance if this confuses anyone, I'm learning the ropes myself as we grow! I appreciate your patience and thanks for working together to make the community a better and safer place!

To kick off the creation of the GROUP (which quickly grew to almost 300 numbers in less than 5 days) and the official IWC PAGE (the one you're presently on, we are giving away a Cascade River Gear 100 liter roll top dry bag!
