Santa Claus is bringing the mother lode to Boise today! We are so blessed to have Mark O'Connor's Appalachian Christmas at The Egyptian Theatre tonight. And he's bringing Carrie Rodriguez with him!

Back on the bus! Just played my first show in 5 months last night in San Fransisco with An Appalachian Christmas band. Sure feels good to do some sangin!!! Tomorrow night we'll be in Boise at The Egyptian Theater and Saturday at The Moore Theater in Seattle! Idaho Live Seattle Theatre Group

Happy Thanksgiving! So much to be grateful for this year! I hope you and yours are enjoying the holiday. I've sure been learning a lot from this little 7 week old - he's a joy and a wonder to behold! I'll be getting back into the swing of things soon enough with 3 Christmas shows out West with my friend and fiddle mentor Mark O'Connor "O'Connor Method" Dec 16,18,&19. After that, we'll start previewing the new Sacred Hearts album, "Lola", in January beginning with 2 shows in Texas and a performance at Joe's Pub in NYC Jan 18th. 4) Tell me about your friendship and mentorship of young Dustin Thomas?

Little Buffalo, as we call him, has been a light, teacher, warrior, and deep brother for me. We have a lot in common and he is such an angel for working through them the way he has. He never ceases to amaze me with his grace and equal ability to drop the axe. A gentle buffalo, a fierce warrior. His ability to transcend age and time has been a huge quality that has helped me see myself clearer. We are team brown forever -- a powerful singer songwriter in the midst of a massive empowerment movement. We both stand out in a crowd and sing louder than anyone else ha-ha. In true proper rebel form we have a destiny together that is unchallenged. You can expect to see him a lot more in our movements. He's one to grow even bigger than this. Watch him and see him fly.

One of the reasons I love being able to contribute to the cultural conversation is having the ability to tell the story and journey of the overlooked or undiscovered artist.
