In a case of somewhat historical importance, this was the very first Covid related liquor citation handed out to a bar in Columbus, Ohio. The Court of Appeals agreed with our argument and our client and reversed the Ohio Liquor commission finding that the trial court abused its discretion . We have said all along that the enforcement of covid related citations against the bars was completely wrong . Nice to be able say I told you so

House Bill 110 , known as the budget bill was sent to the Governor yesterday for his approval. It contains a couple of very important provisions for liquor permit holders who were cited for Covid violations beginning last March up to the time the bill was signed. Permit holders who has there permits revoked are now in a position to get their permits back and the penalty Orders of the liquor Commussion shall be vacated . Let’s hope the Governor does the right thing and does not exercise his line item veto power . Liquor Permit holders have suffered enough
