According to legend, Chile en Nogada was created in Puebla in 1821 by the Augustinian nuns of the Convent of Santa Mónica. Using the season’s finest ingredients, they prepared the dish to honor Agustín de Iturbide following Mexico’s independence.

More than 200 years later, this beautiful tradition continues—and you can taste it at Los Sarapes for a limited time.
