This was so cool and such an honor. We were able to have this tap beer for almost 10 years. You could only get it at Omni brew and taproom or Shant.

The Legend, the glue that held sanity in place, an OG of Shant, a customer favorite, the first to start the Shanty Family, 21 yrs of service, a woman with sass and class. If you walked into the bar on her birthday it looked like a floral shop. She baked cookies for Leroy’s staff and ours too. She took a lot of slack for being my mom but she showed how proud she was of Peter and I. She drove around town with an advertisement sign on each door or her blazer. She volunteered her time for months at a time when things were bad. Customers or people that turned into friends and family invited her over for holidays, sent her postcards from their vacations. Monica or momica to some is a huge reason why we had Shant for 23 yrs. People came in for her harassment with a side of tots. I am proud that she was more than an employee or my mom… I was proud of her heart. Thank you Monica Nanstad for service and sacrifices. You will forever be a legend in the Shanty Family.

It was a special day. Bringing back pull tabs and bingo to Shanty. Only got to see the fun for two months before we sold but it was a monumental day🤑🥃🍺

We will Never Forget! I remember bringing in candles the next day and handing them out to everyone and when the world went silent in honor of all lives lost and impacted.. the bar emptied out, we lit our candles, went outside, bowed our heads and prayed.. after the moments of silence people started singing our national anthem. These were Shanty moments. ❤️🤍💙 So don’t forget to say that prayer or take that moment to honor the victims and families, the first responders and their families and think about when a tragedy brought us all together.

Wanting to wish all of you dads a happy fathers day! This also includes all the strong moms playing both roles. Parents should be celebrated!
