The Mr and Miss Al's on 7th pageants are returning to The Showplace With Space on September 20, 2026 at 6 pm. A $500 cash prize will be given for each title that night and $200 at stepdown.
Categories include Presentation, Evening Wear, Onstage Question, Creative Swimwear, and Talent. Each overall category winner will also receive $100 cash that night.
Early registration ends on August 30 with a $75 entry fee. Beginning September 1, the entry fee will be $100.
Doors open at 4 pm.

Happy Sidewalk Film Festival Week, Birmingham!! We're excited to see friends from all over the world descending on The Magic City this week for this year's festival!

There's a very special documentary in this year's festival that's dear to our hearts. You may have seen a rainbow wrapped semi truck in our pride parade called the Rainbow Rider... and we're excited to see a documentary made about Shelle and her journey.

If you're going to Sidewalk, check out the documentary Sunday or if you're busy at that time, come by Al's Sunday evening. We'll be screening the documentary at 7pm and Shelle and The Rainbow Rider will be on site!

So come join in the fun and learn about Shelle and what she's all about!

This weekend, 5 teams representing Birmingham and New South Softball depart for the 2026 Gay Softball World Series in Columbus, OH. This year marks the largest world series in history with over 260 teams representing their member cities from all over the country!
Safe travels and good luck to the Birmingham Bandits Softball , Birmingham Sliders , Looney Squad - , and Bama Express! Let's show GSWS Columbus some southern charm!!!!
