Along with regular weeknight events including Karaoke Nights (Sunday & Thursday nights), 'RuPaul's Drag Race' watch parties, TV/movie screenings and game nights, Al's on 7th is known for booking some of the region’s best drag queens as 'DREAM guests' ranging from RPDR superstars to national pageant titleholders. The resident entertainers of Al’s on 7th, known collectively as the DREAMCAST, have individually won a host of local, regional and national pageants and are featured in the documentary 'Queens of Birmingham.' Their energetic performances highlight the Friday and Saturday evenings at Al’s on 7th and is bookend by fierce live mixing from resident DJ, DJ Naka. Al’s on 7th is the perfect destination for birthdays, anniversaries, cocktail events and bachelor/bachelorette parties. It is also available for corporate parties and private events, upon request.

Open Wednesday-Sunday, 3:00 pm 'til late
Fridays + Saturdays: Dance the night away with DJ Naka, performances by the DREAMCAST at 11 pm
Karaoke Nights with KJ Sam: Thursdays at 9 pm; Sundays at 8 pm

The Mr and Miss Al's on 7th pageants are returning to The Showplace With Space on August 30, 2026 at 6pm. A $500 cash prize will be given for each title that night and $200 at stepdown.

Categories include Presentation, Evening Wear, Onstage Question, Creative Swimwear, and Talent. Each overall category winner will also receive $100 cash that night.

Early registration ends on July 31 with a $75 entry fee. Beginning August 1, the entry fee will be $100.
