Thank you Brian Marlow for everything you do. It’s amazing what a few businesses and people can do.
The below message is from Brian.
I want to thank The Huckleberry Festival for there generous donation to help with the Christmas dinner for The Guided Path Bingen Shelter. Karen and her husband Terry helped me get it all set up . You both were amazing. I want to give a huge shout out to Tammy at Packer Orchards for your donation of four pies and two boxes of cookies. The kids were going crazy over them and I think some of the adults were too. I was able to get a couple pork butts and our friends Mike and Chris Bosse from Mt. Hood BBQ smoked all the meat. They were both so happy to help make this dinner special for the shelter. Thankyou Kevin at the Guided Path for working with me and making this our fifth year bringing Thanksgiving and Christmas to the shelter.
We had some funds left over and handed out gift cards . Some folks said they could purchase Christmas gifts for the kids. Thank you to those individuals that donated you know who you are. God Bless you all and have a Merry Christmas.

Every donation helps, no matter how small.
The donations are slow coming in this year.
The shelter is full, which includes 4 children.
This is an unfortunate situation that no one wants.

Thank you, Brian Marlow.
The Huck Fest was humbled to be a small part of making this happen.
Brian makes sure the shelter in Bingen gets a hot holiday meal.
If any money is left over after buying food, it gets spent on necessities that are needed.
This year there are 4 children in the shelter.
Can we as a community help make an unfortunate situation brighter for Christmas.
Christmas is in a few weeks. Donations have been slow this year.

Thank you to Joyce Marlow , Wendy Randall Cowan , Karen Gaddis, Becky and a special thank you to the Huckleberry Festival Council for your generous donations to make this happen. The best Thanksgiving meal we have been able to do. Turkey and Ham dinner with all the many sides and extras. Much appreciation to Kevin and The Guided Path Shelter for helping me organize this like I do every year.
The many smiles we were welcomed to while Dane, Karen and her husband set everything up. The children gleefully running around the room in celebration. Popping the tops on the Martinellis Apple cider. Unwrapping the turkey and hearing someone say. There’s the wishbone I want it.
During Christmas I keep the Go Fund Me open to try and collect more funds for items like clothes and hygiene items, Sometimes fuel cards or other things. The folks at the shelter are focusing on getting a new place to call home. These items help ease the pressure that they are enduring.
I want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving and a New Year. Take care and God Bless.
