We are proud to display two beautiful pieces of art that were commissioned and donated to the Feathers in Flight auction by art curator . The two pieces of art are on display now through Friday 6/5 in the shop and will also be at the in-person fundraiser on Sunday 6/7. The first art piece "From 22 They Rise" is a stunning 6' tall hand-carved graffito ceramic totem by . It features 11 oversized ceramic elements sharing the story of California Condor Recovery with a California condor perched at the top. The inscriptions, including "From 22 They Rise,"

"No Lead Ammo," and "Let Them Fly," encapsulate the triumphs and hurdles Ventana Wildlife Society and others face in Condor Recovery.

The second art piece commissioned and donated is "Condors Fly Free" a ceramic relief wall carving by Cynthia Houghton at Natalie Blake Studios.

This original, ceramic graffito tile work involved multiple phases to reach its final form. Houghton first drew the concept sketch of the Big Sur coastal landscape, with an adult condor sunning in a horaltic pose, while a juvenile soars nearby.
