BA Doppelbock 2026 releases tomorrow.

This year’s vintage was aged in Wild Turkey Rye barrels, adding another layer of character to our annual barrel-aged Doppelbock. It will be available on draft and in single 12 oz cans, 2-packs, and 4-packs.

We’ll also be pouring BA Doppelbock 2023 and BA Doppelbock 2024 from the cellar. The 2024 vintage earned Gold at FoBAB and Silver at the US Open Beer Championship, making this a unique opportunity to taste three vintages side by side.

Alongside the barrel-aged releases, this year’s Doppelbock will also be available on draft and in 16 oz 4-packs. A traditional expression of the style, it offers a chance to experience the Doppelbock character without the influence of oak and time in the barrel.

All four beers will be pouring in the taproom while they last. The 2023 and 2024 BA Doppelbocks are draft-only, with no packaged product available.

A lush, hazy IPA packed with Vista and Anchovy hops, delivering big waves of citrus, tropical fruit, and juicy hop flavor. Soft, pillowy, and suspiciously easy to drink, it’s the kind of beer that makes even a deserted island seem a little more manageable.

We can’t promise it’ll help you escape, start a fire, or make friends with a volleyball. But at least you’ll have something good to drink while you figure it out.

Sometimes a sales meeting requires getting out of the office. Sometimes it requires a round of Hooeys. We’re not here to question the process. ☀️🍻

We took last week’s meeting to Bread & Pickle at Lake Harriet, a great spot for burgers, sandwiches, cheese curds, ice cream and more with a pretty unbeatable lakeside view.

After a productive meeting, we grabbed some lunch, enjoyed the sunshine, and put our sales skills to the ultimate test: deciding how many Hooeys to order.

Oatmeal Black Lager is back.

Built on a layered malt bill of Vertical Pale, Simpsons DRC, Golden Naked Oats, Rahr Oat Malt, Chocolate Malt and Roasted Barley, this dark lager offers notes of toasted malt, chocolate and roast with a smooth, rounded character. Tangier hops provide just enough bitterness to keep everything balanced.

Dark and roasty without being heavy, Oatmeal Black Lager is a flavorful, easy-drinking lager with plenty of malt character. Stop by the taproom to enjoy it on draft or pick up a 4-pack to take home!

Sauna and Oktoberfest? Sounds like a perfect Minnesota pairing.

We’re excited to welcome Sota Sauna Co. to this year’s Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, September 19. Their handcrafted mobile sauna will be set up outside the taproom, giving guests a chance to relax, warm up, and experience an authentic sauna session between steins.

Sota Sauna Co. specializes in thoughtfully crafted, Minnesota-built saunas designed to bring people together and create memorable experiences. Whether you’re a longtime sauna enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this is one more reason to make plans for Oktoberfest.

This will be Sota Sauna Co.’s first visit to Lupulin, and we’re looking forward to having them back for future events.

Doppel Your Pleasure.

We’re doubling up on Doppelbock on September 12 with the release of BA Doppelbock 2026 and Doppelbock!

Our BA Doppelbock 2026 spent 12 months aging in Wild Turkey Rye barrels, picking up layers of rich malt, dark fruit, oak and warming rye character along the way.

The 2024 vintage earned a Gold Medal at the 2024 Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer (FoBAB), so the series has some hardware behind it. This year’s vintage is ready to make its debut!

BA Doppelbock 2026 will be available exclusively in the taproom in single 12 oz cans to take home, as well as on draft.

Our annual release of Doppelbock will be available in 4-packs of 16 oz cans and on draft as well. It has earned medals at both the Great American Beer Festival and U.S. Open Beer Championship, including a Gold at the 2020 U.S. Open, and recently took 3rd Place at the 2026 Minnesota Brewers Cup!

Both beers will be available when we open on Saturday, September 12, while supplies last.

We’ll see you September 12 for a double dose of Doppelbock.
