As many of you may know by now, on Feb. 1st 2021 the ICC sustained catastrophic water damages as a result of multiple sprinkler breaks that occurred. Servpro of Beverly/Cape Ann arrived on scene that evening to access the extent of damages and begin putting together a plan to save the building and it’s valuable contents. Servpro and the board are aware of how difficult it’s been for many of you who’ve longed to return to your beloved meetinghouse these last few months, as well as for those who’ve stopped by to get a look at things only to be met by DO NOT ENTER signs and locked doors. While we know this is not the welcoming you’ve grown accustomed to at the ICC, it’s been necessary given the extent of damages and unsafe conditions within. I’m happy to report that with mitigation and demolition now complete and the building successfully stabilized, we will soon begin putting your home away from home back together. In the interest of keeping everyone informed and excited for the eventual re-opening, we will be posting pictures of the entire process. We hope you will stay tuned and check in from time to time to see the transformation for yourself. For now, we’ve included a few photos that document the devastating damages sustained.
