Coin is a retro arcade and bar filled with professionally restored 80's and 90's arcade and pinballs featuring craft beer from regional breweries and retro inspired fresh signature cocktails.
Games are .25 to $1 each and our permanent location will featured a simple food menu where the focus will be on quality.
Six years ago, when our second daughter was born, I was working way too hard, not sleeping (newborns, yay) and really got run down. I wound up with a needle in my spine at 3am at Lehigh Valley Hospital which I’m sure sounds like a blast but let me tell you it’s far from it. My brain was swelling and I had to spent 5 days alone in a room resting.
It was a big wakeup call and made me realize I needed to get my priorities in line with what made me feel alive and what I wanted to do in life. So in true 80's rebellious fashion, I booked a flight to LA to see the world and visit some friends. I ended up visiting ''82'' an arcade bar that changed my world. It was a Friday night and it was packed. No tv's, 3 bartenders and arcade games, pinballs and an amazing DJ to complete the vibe. "This would be amazing to have back home."
And that's when the seed was planted. Fast forward to November 2017, I bought my first arcade machine and was all in on a mission to open the first Arcade Bar in the Lehigh Valley.
Why Does This Matter?
The Lehigh Valley is growing and developing into a better area everyday. We want to be a part of this growth. We also want to help develop a market we feel needs improving. The Bar Arcade.
Arcades are getting harder to find and a lot of the originals have basically disappeared from the public eye. Today, most of them are either collecting dust in warehouses or in the basements of collectors' homes. We’re here to change that.
This place will finally give us something to do other than to sit at the bar and drink. We want to provide that experience for people again. A place built by the people, for the people.
