Since opening in March of 2018, Broken Symmetry has produced one of the largest assortment of beers from CTs Breweries. In physics, “symmetry breaking” is a phenomenon in which small changes at a critical point decide a system’s fate. Founder and Head-Brewer, Christopher Sanzeni (a former aerospace engineer) found the correlation immediately. You add the right minerals to the water, the exact grain and hops, and then...the yeast changes everything. It breaks the symmetry.” The years-long process of setting up the brewery and finding the right location, led Chris to Bethel, a town where he and his family now call home. Although he spends most of his time amongst the beers in the cellar room, he’s always happy to stop and chat. So if you see him, say hello, and let him know you’re enjoying your time at his brewery. After all, he bet everything on hard work and traded in an old life for a new one. He followed his dreams to add a little happiness to your life’s symmetry. We are a Brewpub located in the historic train station in Bethel, CT. On site we brew a wide range of beer styles to provide an ever-changing variety for our customers to enjoy in our tap room and also cans of select beers to go. Our new Executive Chef, Matt, is incredibly creative and adding a selection of his food inspired by cuisines from all over the world can be paired and enjoyed with our beers.
