Stole this from someone else. Some of the best advise:

Billiards is a game of patience and precision. To get better, you have to stop rushing and start treating every shot with the same respect, whether it's a simple tap-in or a long-distance bank. It’s about getting your body and mind to act like a machine so your emotions don't mess up your aim.
These will help you improve. Check to see if any apply!

1.Consistency: Stand behind the shot, find your line, and step into it the exact same way every single time.
This builds muscle memory that saves you when you're nervous.

2. Loose Grip: Don't choke the cue. If you squeeze too hard, the tip will veer off-target. Hold it just tight enough to keep it steady.
Be sure to avoid being too loose as well!

3. Stay Down: This is the hardest part for me. After you hit the ball, stay frozen in your stance until the object ball hits a rail or drops. Jumping up too early ruins your accuracy. Familiar with SET, PAUSE, FINISH (FREEZE).
I have some methods for this too but lengthy.

4. The Ghost Ball: Instead of aiming at the ball, imagine a "ghost ball" sitting right next to it. Aim through the center of that imaginary ball to find the perfect angle.

It’s frustrating when you miss an easy one, but that’s part of the journey.

Every "clink" of a missed shot is just a lesson in what not to do next time.
Please remember this!
It's not about failure but finding what DOES work.
