**I shouldn't have to make this post but here we are... I'm curious if other families go through this?*
It's fascinating how quickly rumors become "facts" when they're repeated often enough.
Since so many people seem invested in my life, my business, here's what is actually true:
My uncle's estate, Hey Carl's, is in probate. I was appointed executor, and as executor, I have a legal duty to administer the estate. The property remains in Carl's name and is listed for sale through Cross Davidson Realty 618-242-1234
As for my relationship with my uncle—that is, and always has been, a private family matter. Like many families, ours wasn't perfect. We experienced periods of estrangement over the years, just as he and my Dad did.
I was also estranged on and off with my Dad throughout the years but we always loved each other no matter what. Family relationships are rarely as simple as outsiders would like to believe.
Opinions based on gossip are not facts. If you've never spoken to me personally, you don't know my story. Assuming otherwise only says something about the person making the assumption.
I'll continue handling my legal responsibilities. The rumor mill can continue doing what it does best.
