We got our costumes! Prizes for best costumes. Must check in at all three bars by 11:00. We have 2nd Generation Band firing up soon. Lawrence's has Meatplow and Hoppie's has McDermott. Going to be a great time. Fire up!

TONIGHT!!

Benton High School Presents... AND THEN THERE WERE NONE! A play written by Agatha Christie.

Come to our school this weekend and enjoy the play! Saturday's performance will take place at 7pm and Sunday's will start at 1pm!

Cost will be $6 and both performances will be in the downstairs gymnasium!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Doors open at 3:00 with the Fever River String Band playing 4-6. Our famous corned beef and cabbage will be available until gone. Slainte.

When a small town wins, every small town wins. Small towns are where real teams are made. Not on the first day of practice your freshman year, but rather on the one driveway in town that has a basketball hoop. Small town teams are made when you’re six years old and your parents let you go play with your friends all by yourself for the first time. At the weekend tournament that your parents coached and probably officiated. The “crowded” gym of 24 fans that all happen to be grandparents. The teacher’s kid that shoots in the gym while their parent grades papers down the hall. The coach’s kid who grew up on the bench, handing water bottles to his/her heroes, hoping to someday be that hero.

Small schools rock.

Good luck to the Scales Mound Hornets today at State. No matter the outcome, we are proud of you. Count all of us in your enrollment today, because we are all rooting for you.

Harold Carney gave the ultimate sacrifice at Pearl Harbor during WW II while serving our country aboard the U.S.S. Oklahoma. He will finally make his way home and be buried with his parents. We invite everyone to line Main Street at noon today to pay respect to this true American hero. RIP Harold and thank you for your service.
