Just reminding you! We will have online ordering on too if you just want to pickup and eat at home in jammies.

This is a big milestone during a big month, we’d love to have you stop by. This one is dedicated to the adults in my life who told me I wasn’t loveable. They were wrong, sucks to suck.

Also I have some weird prizes to hand out :)

04/20/2026

Hello hello. Today is Bo’s 7th anniversary. Seven years for a restaurant, similar to dog years, is approximately 43 years. So it’s been awhile, and I’m so happy to report that things are going well. So well that I’ve been able to indulge in taking care of myself while I navigated one of the worst depressive episodes I’ve had in a long time. Naively, I felt impermeable to watching innocent people die on American streets, to Epstein and to my personal boogeymen I’ve been chasing down in a book I started writing this year. Writing my book and unburdening myself quickly became myself unraveling. What a privilege it was to have the structure of Bo’s around me, cushioning a descent that sometime felt like plummeting. All the thanks goes to the people that work at Bo’s, especially Kathy who steered our ship to sparkling seas while I was barely capable to steer a canoe.

To celebrate we are having breakfast for dinner on Thursday 4/30, the last day of April. And, because April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Awareness month, we will be donating a portion of the night’s proceeds to Kids Center, which provides services to children impacted by abuse. Something important to me, and to Bo’s.

I’ve never felt so supported, and while I feel a pressure to “feel better” to ease any burden I’m making on my people, I know that pressure isn’t coming from them, but from myself. And I know it’s bu****it so I’m working on not being a little B to myself. Hence the video, me unburdening into a puddle in magical Shasta. Thank you for supporting us and for getting what Bo’s is all about. To end on a light note I’ll remind you that google tells me 90% of restaurants don’t make it this long these days and we are still here baby 🫡

We are busy busy on the weekends. Must be nice, fast and make good food. Must hate the current administration and be mostly emotionally regulated. Bonus if you love animals and innocent pranks. Would be weird if you don’t love bagels, but not a deal breaker.

Email the manager, Kathy at [email protected]. Tell her what your favorite swear word is in the subject line. These are the innocent pranks I speak of.

Hey, just checking in. I’ve had a s**t month/week with two loved ones in and out of the people hospital and the dog hospital. It’s so hard to see my little shadow in pain, but I believe he’s on the slow mend. In good news, we did have a wonderful event earlier this month benefitting members of our community who lost snap benefits. Due to the generosity of the others, we received donations and have decided to give them to The Giving Plate in Bend. They will know how to best use the donation money, so thank you so much to every kind person out there who shared what they have with others. It’s one of the few things are keeping me going lately, that, and fantasizing about the absolute banger of a party in the streets we will have when Rump dies.

Otherwise, it’s business as usual at Bo’s. We have some winter merch coming, I plan to try to decorate for the holidays this year etc etc but tbh I’m pretty burnt out after watching my baby dog suffer so much. I’m just feeling meh, ya know.
Oh, I’m also supposed to mention that we are OPEN on Wednesday, CLOSED on Thursday, OPEN on Friday. And, Wednesday is women owned business day or something, idk who picks these days like some kind of council or something but I imagine them all in power suits. May we prosper as female business owners, and never ever be asked again if we are “sure we aren’t just the manager.”

Kiddo and I are deep into the Ken Burns documentary on the American revolution so I’ll leave you with some photos. ❤️

The administration is real life hunger games building tacky ass expensive ballrooms while people struggle to buy food for their families. And while the onus shouldn’t be on small businesses to make up for the ludicrous decisions of aging men with fragile egos, we can’t sit by without making a gesture to our community. So please join us for breakfast for dinner when ALL breakfast sandwiches will be $5.

All people deserve food, and I think most deserve a night out and a meal cooked for them during scary times. So let anyone know who might need a soft spot to land amongst community for an evening.

*one item per person. Please don’t show up and try to order 20 meals for yourself, you get what we are trying to do. Be cool.

This is our special for the first week of September (9/3-9/7). We made buffalo sauce, but very Bo’s-ish so it has pickled jalapeño juice and some other spices to keep it nice and piquant. Your choice of blue cheese cream cheese or ranch cream cheese. Or whatever cream cheese you want, but I wouldn’t recommend strawberry.

Also, here’s a little restaurant industry check-in: despite being slammed all summer, most of us are now on the precipice of the slow season. Fall/winter are scary, so whatever support you can give, whether it’s coming into eat on a weekday or just telling a coworker about your favorite spots, helps. Summer is an illusion, beautiful but fleeting. Yada yada.

Hey :) I don’t want to make a reel, making a post feels like screaming into the void, but here you go: when we rebranded and reopened as Bo’s we decided to lower the price of our three best selling items (sausage egg and cheese, bacon/egg/cheese, egg and cheese), so we lowered them by $4. It doesn’t sound like much, I’m sure, but it was an intentional, deliberate and meaningful decision. The impact of $4 in this economic climate can be important when spread over a day of business, every day. So now you know.

And tbh I think it’s one of those business decisions that I’m proud of my team for making with me. Lowering prices means a smaller tip, so it’s really cool they also believe that we should be adjusting based on customer needs. It’s something I need to tell customers because turns out nobody can read my mind, but I am so self conscious about promotion, whether it’s necessary or just valid. It felt awkward to me to say here is a $9 BEC in this time in history and just generally. I could be a professional over thinker. Anyway, we did something we are proud of and wanted to let you know.

If you’re one of those people that is going to say the first price was expensive…don’t. Or at least don’t until you can tell me the cost of every ingredient, every wage, every utility bill, service fee, monthly charge, unexpected cost and monthly rent. We have always had fair prices and questioning that past a point is insulting. That’s a new boundary for some :)

Believe it or not, we hate being held hostage to inflation and the current erosion of restaurants. Because we love you. We are madly in love with you. We want to know your ring size. We don’t ever want this night to end.

The classic that you know and love, but not from a corporation that pays its CEO a salary of $19.2 million and its employees $15 and hour :)

We tweaked and improved the recipe and will be making LOTS to avoid an early sellout. They will be available to order online.

Your son might be on honor roll, but mine has basketball camp on the Milky Way. Your short term memory for remembering the codes for items in the bulk section might be better than mine, but I can sit in a hot car without AC for a long time. You might always remember your passwords, I know how to do a bubblegum double bubble. You can do a pull up, I can always put away my shopping cart. Did I once get my eyebrows waxed and forget to mention to the tech that I used retin A so my skin was sensitive and then leave said appt with red burns under my eyebrows that looked like a weird second set of eyebrows before a holiday party? Yes. But did you once get McDonald’s because you had a hike at 7:30 and Bo’s wasn’t open yet? Yes. That is life. Isn’t it weird most of the time, hard a lot of the time and perfect sometimes? We are going to be open 7 am-1 pm starting on Saturday 7/5.
