Phew. Wow, everyone, this thing is hard to write.
We love you. We love every one of you who believed in us, who loved our beers, our whiskies and cocktails, our staff and our dreams. We love you, and wish to raise a glass to you. To Bellingham, and beyond.
Itβs been a long, beautiful road. As much as we want to continue to walk it, unfortunately, the soles of our shoes have worn thin.
Covid-19 has impacted so many industries, and performance venues have been hit particularly hard. We optimistically closed our doors in March, but now, facing an uncertain future...the time has come to close our doors for good.
We started in January 2018 by taking over a big dream, and big shoes, from our predecessor in this space. Many of you remember the Green Frog fondly, as do many of our performers and our beloved community. As much as it hurts, we have to acknowledge the end of our era.
We took our individual dreams as owners, and tried to bring the best of what we could to our home, and the music community at large.
We appreciate every single one of you who has played or enjoyed a show at our space. Whether you gave hugs, encouragement, your incredible talent, or dollars, you were an integral part of the passion that kept it all going. We love you.
There have been a few hiccups along the road, as there always are. But the staff and crew we had at the end was the best you could ever have. Heather, Strangely, Dave, Dion, Hutch, Haley, Michelle, Spencer, Walter, Addison, Nate, Kat, Zach and Zach, Brian, Xander and Sam...we couldn't have done what we did without you.
HIRE THEM. HIRE THEM ALL.
We end this adventure, grateful for the experiences; holding close to our hearts the new friends we made and the old ones with whom we share new, fond memories. Thank you for a wonderful two years. We look forward to supporting the efforts of performing artists with you as patrons in the future. Thank you all. Truly, from the bottom of our hearts...thank you.
Goodnight, sweetheart, goodnight.
