Do you have a BIG HEART? I need your help! My friend Todd is looking for donations of small toys, candy & any items that would be appropriate for stocking stuffers for children of all ages.
For 3 years now, on his own good will, he has been collecting/filling Christmas stockings to bring joy to children via food pantries, battered women shelters (who have children), for some kids with disabilities etc. All the one's who are less fortunate than we are this Christmas season in surrounding towns.
I am asking you to purchase a few of these items and drop them off at my house (or call me to pick them up) so we can help him out.
Or you can drop them off at the YMCA in Maquoketa as specified on the poster.

Stopped in Champaigne, Illinois last night on our way home from Indiana. We had dinner with Dale & Jessica.
Was really great to catch up with them. We met them in Bellevue when we own Hank's Place LLC.

Hank's Place LLC was OFFICIALLY CLOSED!

Several people have asked how it feels to be "retired"

Well.....first of all It feels strange being home alone every day talking to myself🙄. Kyle bought a house, so we are officially "empty nesters".

I am taking every opportunity I can to spend time with kids and my grandchildren, Bentley & Adaliene. And now I can finally shout from the mountain tops that Anna and Cody are expecting a baby in February. I'll have lots of time to spoil all 3!!

Daryl and I are spending much more quality time together, canning, cleaning out the garden, sorting through all the stuff we accumulated from Hank's Place LLC. Trying to consolide/organize our house. UGH!
We are closing in on our departure to take a trip to Indiana to visit my Uncle Kenny. While there, Daryl is going to visit and reconnect with a Navy buddy he hasn't seen in almost 35 years. He lives a couple hours from where we are headed.

I have a lot of time to play my role as "The Plant Whisperer" taking care of all my plants and propogating them. Plants are my addiction!! I call it "therapy"!

I LOVE having more time to cook and bake homemade meals. Trying new recipes!
I just need more people to cook for.....

I can honestly say that I don't miss going to work everyday or having the responsibility of owning a business. It consumed my mind and time 24/7. BUT....what I do miss is the connection with my regular customers and seeing/talking to all friends we have made during the 6 years at the bar. I hope you all are doing well!

So, If you see me out n' about then give me a shout. I'll be ready to give a BIG "Momma Hank" HUG to anyone that wants one!
