Had a pretty good cook in Marine this weekend. It was a great organized contest that we love to attend. Great hospitality and hard work out into the event. We we're lucky to receive calls is Pork 5th and Brisket 6th. We always have things to improve on but feel we made some positive changes this weekend.

Jerseyville Illinois Bluegrass and BBQ Festival. Turn ins are final and we are loaded up for the highway. Waiting on awards here soon. Waiting on the judges. Really good cook here today at Festus. This warm weather is not well received though. Pork box picture was a ooops so we only have chicken ribs and brisket. Plus max our BBQ mascot was crashed out on the floor in the AC.

What a great weekend in Marine Il. Perfect weather for a top notch, classy competition thrown by Brent Phelps and Pam Steve Voegele. Such a hospitable group of people that went above and beyond for the teams.
It was the girls weekend with Greta placing 3rd in Kids Que chicken, Ava 1st place Chefs choice, while Pat and I finished 10th chicken, 9th ribs, 9th brisket for 11th overall. Congrats to great friends Heavy Smoke on GC & In the Red Zone on RGC.
