League information with clarification... what, where, when, whys?
I'm going to do my best to answer:
Youth league has moved from Saturdays to Sundays start time at 1pm. (Why?) Kids and parents continue to juggle work, school, competitive sports including bowling, homes life and church, etc. As a parent and grand parent myself, I understand and WITH INPUT of these parents and grandparents, we came to this discision and to try something new.
*Our youth league is not based on competition! It's about our kids having a space that's less demanding of a score and more about having fun in a safe, clean and friendly environment with family and friends.
E/O Sunday start time has moved from 5:30 start time to 6:00 pm
(Why?) After speaking with youth families, we reached out to this league (knowing its a big ask, in some cases with work schedule, etc as well) asking if the adjustment of 6:30 would work or not, because of youth moving to Sunday and all that entails for staff to adjust as well. With INPUT, we adjusted to "6pm" start time.
This is why our bowling community is family. We talk to each other and together, make things work!

Note: typically every year... each league has a short meeting prior to first day of bowling.
So if anyone has been asked/heard, to come in a little early the first day that your league is scheduled, that is why. That is the only reason! This is every season, 1st day of league!
With this being said I have posted each league's first day start dates. (See Hillcrest Lanes page)
*Seems odd that we are starting before labor day? (Why?) Labor day has changed. Falls in the 2nd week of September this year. Therefore we are keeping our leagues on track with END of season dates in mind! It effected mainly, e/o Sat, e/o Sun, and Monday leagues. As *those leagues are actually starting earlier to adjust and stay at same end date with same amount of weeks bowled.
So, this Saturday and Sunday we are open for open bowl and for anyone that cannot make it their 1st night of league to come in to bowl and sanction, get locker, etc.
