Friends, countrymen, patriots, beer drinkers and hell**** , wine affecionados:
Phaedra and I want to say thank you thank you and thank you for 5 glorious years of making memories at La Linea Winebar in Beeville, Texas.
Through many wonderful hours spent there, although we traveled away for some of that time, our hearts have always been there on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights--especially when there was live music. We were blessed to spend time with you there making new friends, who happened to be customers.
There are memories of special people we pause to remember here who made a lasting impression on us but God has called. Peace be with them and their loved ones.
Thank you to the City of Beeville, the Chamber of Commerce, our neighbors in the Beeville downtown Coop, Prosperity Bank, L&F distributing, Goodwill for wine 🍷, the Bee Picayune, Bee County government, and a special shot out to Beeville PD officer Jason Alvarez who introduced us to the story of the old "La Linea" (the Line), be it the Manhattan Club, Bee Club, Texas Bar or the Friendly Bar, "and it was anything but friendly." Many thanks to our industry neighbors and those who inspired us along the way: K&E Seafood, Hattie & Hazels, Coastal Bend Distillery, Louis Alaniz, and of course the legend, Travis Tindol of T's.
Thanks to our friend Mike Robertson whose craftsmanship and skill built the place--All of it! Thanks to our beautiful staff, family and helpers who worked to make the place flourish even after we crossed the Pacific for school and work. Everyone, applause please for Joseph Rizzio who deserves much credit.
Now the most important news! Congratulations to the new owners of Brick Oven Bistro, who I'm sure many of you already know as outstanding members in the community. I'll let them introduce themselves! Best wishes and great success! No doubt already that it will be next level!
Finally, I want say a special thanks to all the artists, musicians, comedians, and the lovely Diane on piano, for making this experience even more worthwhile.
and Jack, got wood? FRANK! Alan! You know who you are.... and this is why they should never give me an Oscar!
Houston, this is La Linea Wine Bar signing off...
