💛Grace & Keaton, from beginning to end.

We promised you all the details from this beautiful Dataw Island amd here are some of our favorites!

The soft blues, buttery yellows, and classic whites carried so beautifully through every part of the day.

From Grace’s bouquet and the ceremony flowers to the reception tables and all those thoughtful little details in between.

But what we love most about seeing a wedding like this all together is that the flowers are only one part of the story.

It’s the couple.
The setting.
The carefully chosen details.
The people gathered around the tables.
The cheers, the laughter, and finally getting to CELEBRATE!

🌷 If you’re new here, Hi! I’m Gaye, the heart behind Tulips & Twigs.

A few things about me…

I’ve been married to my husband, Scott, for 36 years. We have three grown children, seven AMAZING grandchildren, and when I’m not surrounded by wedding flowers, you’ll probably find me in my garden, out on the water, or spending time with my family.

I’ve been a follower of Christ for more than 30 years, and my faith is at the center of my life and woven into the heart of this business.

I never really set out to build a wedding floral business. I simply loved flowers and loved working in my garden. Then friends from our church began asking me to help with their weddings…and one wedding became another, and somewhere along the way, Tulips & Twigs was born.

In 2018, I officially turned that love of flowers into a business and Tulips & Twigs has been growing and blooming ever since! 🌷

And here’s one of my favorite parts of that story: some of those same church friends who helped with those very first weddings are STILL beside me today as part of Team T&T. 🤍

We design together, laugh a LOT, work really hard, pray over our wedding days and the marriages beginning on them, and genuinely love being together.

I may be the face you see here most often, but Tulips & Twigs has never been just me.

I love our brides. I love their mamas. I love working alongside the incredible planners and wedding professionals throughout the Lowcountry.

And after all these years, I still get excited about really beautiful flowers.

So, if you’re new here….welcome!

🌸💛 Bright, happy flowers for the sweetest, happiest couple!

Liz & Gabe’s celebration at the Port Royal Sound Foundation was pure Lowcountry joy!!

We loved bringing all that beautiful color into such a unique waterfront venue—and that hanging floral installation might just be one of our favorite details!

We just wrapped up our bi-annual Team T&T meeting, and what a sweet time it was to reflect, reconnect, and look ahead to another season together!

I LOVE this team. 🤍

What we have is truly special.
We’re a sisterhood, and we know what we do is about a much bigger purpose than just the flowers (although, trust me, we take those VERY seriously!).

This team is the reason we keep growing, keep moving forward, and keep creating beautiful weddings.

One of my favorite compliments is hearing planners tell me how special this group is. They show up ready to work, they’re quick to lend a hand to another vendor, and they look for opportunities to encourage the people around them. Not much rattles them, they hold themselves to a high level of professionalism, and best of all—they genuinely love being together.

They actually miss each other during our off-season! And I think they’re more than ready to get this fall STARTED!!

A HUGE thank you to Cotton Hall for graciously allowing us to gather in their beautiful event space. It was the perfect place to get organized, dream a little, and prepare for our Fall 2026 season.

We already have seven weddings on the books, with more trickling in, and I couldn’t be more thankful for what lies ahead.

To God be the glory for this business, for every couple who trusts us, and for this incredible team He’s given me. 🫶🏼

Every bridal bouquet tells a different story.

People often ask where I begin when designing wedding flowers, and the answer is almost always the bridal bouquet!

Long before a single flower is ordered, I spend time getting to know each bride. We talk about her gown, her style, the flowers she loves (and the ones she doesn’t), the shape she’s envisioning, and the overall feeling she wants for her wedding day. She’ll often send me inspiration photos, and while those help guide the design, I don’t believe in simply recreating someone else’s bouquet.

In a funny way, the bouquets almost make themselves!

The flowers have a way of coming together naturally. They always stay true to the bride’s vision and aesthetic, but by the time I’m finished, they often become something even more personal than what either of us first imagined.

No two are ever exactly alike and I love that!!

Once the bouquet is designed, it becomes the inspiration for everything else.
Every centerpiece, ceremony arrangement, and floral detail flows from that one piece.
It’s truly the heart of the wedding flowers.

It’s also one of my favorite parts of every wedding, which is why it’s something I almost always create myself. Our team is incredibly talented, but there’s something special about making the bouquet that grew from the conversations I’ve shared with each bride.

Some of my favorite bouquets have included deeply personal touches—a piece of lace from a mother’s wedding dress, a charm honoring someone dearly missed, or another meaningful keepsake tucked among the blooms. Those little details are often what make a bouquet unforgettable.

🤍 There are so many incredible wedding venues here in the Lowcountry, and Cotton Hall will always be one of our favorites.

From the majestic live oaks draped in Spanish moss, to the beautiful historic home, the charming vintage car, the gorgeous glassed-in back porch, and all the timeless Lowcountry character... it’s a venue that never stops inspiring us.

🤍 What makes it even more special is the people.
The team at Cotton Hall is always such a joy to work with, and after creating florals for more than 10 weddings and styled shoots here over the years, they have become dear friends.

And if we’re being just a little selfish... we also love that it’s only about two miles from our workshop! 😊

Every wedding we’ve had the privilege of creating at Cotton Hall has been unique, beautiful, and full of wonderful memories.

We can’t wait for the next one!!
