There's fresh, and then there's this.

Our soft shell crabs come through the back door still alive — that's the only way we'll take them. They get a cornmeal batter and go straight into the fryer, so the edges shatter when your fork hits them. From there: lump crabmeat and cream over a bed of fresh asparagus, and a lemon wedge you'll actually want to use.

It's the kind of plate that only works when the product is right. Right now, it's right.

Please join us in wishing Erin Guzzardo a warm goodbye and the very best in this next chapter.

Erin started with us as a Manager in Training — and over the years became Assistant Manager, Manager, AGM, General Manager, and finally Director of Operations for our entire group.

But the promotions aren't really the story. The story is everybody she brought up with her. The servers who became trainers. The trainers who became managers. The managers running our shifts right now. If you've ever had a great night at SoLou, Erin had a hand in it — whether the two of you ever met or not.

She has been a leader, a teacher, and a friend to so many of us, and she is going to be dearly missed.

Erin, thank you for every double, every holiday, and every "I've got it." Come see us — we're saving the best spot on the patio for you. 🤍

Some people drive across town for dinner. Charicka drove an hour and 22 minutes.

She came in this week, and the review she left afterward wasn't really about the food — it was about two people on our floor. Willow, who she described as "a vibe… she funny, she extra," and the bartender her table nicknamed Magic Mike. His actual name is Sean, and we suspect the nickname is permanent now.
