Hello All!

Just a friendly reminder that we are no longer Salt Pine Social and that we've transitioned our energy, love, and attention to our new venture: Relish. It's in the same location with the same owners: Daphne, Eloise, and Paul at the helm.

We've noticed that there's still some activity on this page so we wanted to make sure that all of our patrons and followers are up to date on what we're up to now!

We will no longer be updating this page so please give Relish a follow and stop in to say hello!

While Relish is not a restaurant, you can still find Eloise's cooking in a takeaway format in addition, but certainly not limited to, an array of baked goods, cheese, charcuterie, fine chocolates, wine, beer, etc. etc. etc.

Our new endeavor Relish is hiring!

We are seeking kitchen and retail employees with an interest and knowledge in food, wine, and cheese. The kitchen position would require experience and creativity - baking skills are a plus!

Full and part time positions available. Must have good attitude and be willing to work daytime hours.

Onward + Upward

2020 the year that wasn’t- but also the year that was; the one that reminded us who we are, and what we want. After 40 years each in the restaurant business, we’ve realized that it’s time for us to step away from the stress, long days and late nights of owning a restaurant.

Say hello to RELISH! bringing you a deliciously chosen collection of prepared meals to-go, a delightfully well curated selection of groceries including: pastas, cheeses, crackers, salumi, fine chocolates, beer, wine and so much more! You’ll find everything you want and need in one beautiful space on Front Street in Bath.

Brought to you by twin sisters Eloise Humphrey and Daphne Comaskey who, along with Paul Comaskey, created three beloved businesses in Brunswick and Bath: El Camino, Flipside Pizza and Salt Pine Social.

Tonight is the final night for el Camino to go @ Salt Pine Social . When we close the door tonight we will end our 16 year restaurant adventure here in Midcoast Maine, we opened el Camino on a wing and a pray all those years ago hoping that the idea of locally sourced ingredients and freshly made Mexican food would appeal to all y’all, and boy did it . You embraced our “ shabby chic” style and inventive menu and we never looked back . Then came Flipside Pizza , dough made on site , farm fresh ingredients a funky little place on Maine Street with lines out the door . We were successful and that lead us to Bath . The building at 244 Front Street was a place we had coveted for years , the stars aligned in 2016 and Salt Pine Social was born . It was a chance for Daph and Eloise to stretch out and create a menu and ambiance that was a culmination of 30 years worth of ideas , and once again you all embraced this new experience. It was a struggle at first but now SPS is as beloved as el cam and Flipside. Then came 2020 . As we said in our post last week we are financially and emotionally drained , completely blindsided by events beyond our control but your out pouring of love and support has been incredible and will give us strength in the coming months , we thank you with all of our hearts. What’s next ? Daphne and Eloise will be channeling the passion that have for epicurean delights into something completely new and not food related at all . They will make an announcement in the coming weeks . As for me I’m out of the food business too . Anyone who has gotten to know me over the years will not be surprised, I am not at all a foody . I’m a front of house social animal who found himself doing this and loving it , while waiting for the next music project ... album or tour to come along . So that’s what I’m going to do . I’m writing recording songs while
“interning “ at a studio here in Bath . It feels like I’m 18 and the pay is about the same ,I couldn’t be happier . We are truly grateful to everyone who has shown us such love and support, we look forward to seeing you all down the road . Love P D and E

To our Dear friends and loyal followers . We want to thank you for your amazing support during these difficult times and for the love and friendship you have shown us over the years at
El Camino and Salt Pine Social.
It is with a heavy heart we are reaching out to let you know that Saturday September 26th will be our final day . After over 40 years in this industry we feel it’s time for us to go . The pandemic it seems is the final nail in the coffin for our industry. We find ourselves financially and emotionally unable to continue. We feel truly honored to have been a part of this community and we will miss you .For now we’ll take a deep breath (behind our masks of course) and step boldly into the future and whatever comes next for us we will keep you posted Love and peace to you all .
