When we looked the country over for a solitary terroir that featured the grain and water to make a unique expression of bourbon and rye we kept coming back to the Driftless Area. We are surrounded by glens, rocky outcrops, and clear cold water trout streams. Our edge of the Driftless Area is known as Sand County, an area that is unique in all the world. We didn't choose our home for the distillery

, rather we discovered an area that has an amazing aquifer, peat bogs, and uncommon sandy soil for our grains to grow in and made it our home. The combination of temperature, water, soil, weather all combine to form our unique terroir. The result is spirits as unique as those who enjoy them. Come visit us along the banks of the Baraboo River, the longest mainstream restored free flowing river in America. Our tours will take you through every inch of our production area, from our grains and mash, to our fermentation tanks and process, stills โ€ฆ all ending with a leisurely tasting of spirits. If you choose, you can also sample our array of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Our tours were recently reviewed as โ€œan amazing and entertaining tour.โ€ Let us introduce you to our double distillation process starting with our 10,000 pound 44 foot tall column still and ended with our pot still.
