Stephen King’s 79th birthday is exactly 3 months away!
2 Feet 👣 Brewing, SK Tours of Maine, In Derry, Maine (a local T-shirt company) and The Emporium Spooky Goods and More are busy planning a huge multi day birthday party for our favorite Bangor author.
This year we’re adding a couple extra events on Friday and Saturday … and returning events include: Stephen King’s79th Birthday Carnival and “Pet Sematary” Pet Parade parade on Sunday, Sept. 20, and this year we’re moving the beer garden to Saturday, Sept. 19.
Sunday’s events are free, thanks to donations made by Constant Readers and local businesses. Every donation is used to set up the old time carnival games or to purchase prizes for the games. (Expect to see a post about how to get involved in the near future)
Tickets are now on sale for the “Derry, Maine Beer Garden” 4-9 pm Sept. 19, featuring local brews from all around the area, some Stephen King-themed food and games and everyone gets a souvenir goblet.
Can’t wait to see how people dress up this year!

2 Feet 👣 made Corned Beef Brisket Burnt Ends over Mac&cheese for the Friday Night Dinner Special ($16), and the daily dessert is Dark Chocolate with ice cream butter cream.
The dehydrated Ice Cream sandwiches are from New Song Farm in Enfield, purchased at the awesome Maple Lane Farm.

2 Feet 👣 wants you to know Tom Deady will be in Derry, Maine (Bangor) on Sept. 18-20 for a book signing at The Emporium on Sept. 18 and will remain for events on Saturday, Sept. 19, and Stephen King’s 79th Birthday Carnival on Sept. 20.

2 Feet 👣 made a Triple Whopper (Malt Ball) cake for the daily dessert for our Oh Grow Up! cake contest.
Gummy worms — see pics of Zak’s purchase — came in second place. Linda won the piece of cake!
The winning cake has a dense malt and bourbon vanilla cake base (think malted waffle) with malt chocolate frosting and malt balls on top.
Open mic for songwriters, hosted by Rachel Blackerby, runs from 5 to 8 pm. tonight.

2 Feet 👣 picked some huge spruce tips this year for the Woodlot Scot, a Scottish ale, that Nit-Noi brewed today and should be on tap in about 3 weeks.

2 Feet 👣 made the Daily Dessert with candy rocks from Oh, Grow Up! a new condy store downtown.
CAKE CONTEST: take a photo of a candy at Oh, Grow Up! that you want 2 Feet Brewing to make into a cake, and post it below.
On June 5 we’ll tally the votes and Nit-Noi will make a cake with the most popular candy.
Everyone who posts a photo vote will be entered into a drawing for a free piece of cake.

The community supported (so free) birthday carnival and “Pet Sematary” Pet Parade are Sunday, Sept. 20, 2-5 pm. The Derry, Maine Beer Garden is 4-8 pm Sept. 19 and tickets are now available.
