Led by banjo master Greg Cahill for 50 years, SPECIAL CONSENSUS blends the drive and harmonies of traditional bluegrass with contemporary creativity and award-winning songwriting The Special Consensus. Anchored by Cahill’s distinctive banjo style and the powerful lead vocals of Greg Blake (2023 & 2025 IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year), alongside Brian McCarty (mandolin, vocals) and Nico Humby (bass, vocals), the band moves effortlessly from jazz tinged instrumentals to award winning originals — always keeping their bluegrass core.
