KIMBERLY NICOLE
Kimberly Nicole has been instrumental in growth of the Kizomba dance scene across the Carolinas as well as the USA, while advocating for the women within the dance scene. She was first introduced to Kizomba in 2012 while attending a festival in Toronto. Since then she has traveled extensively to learn and train from some of the best Kizomba and Semba instructors in the industry and is quickly becoming known as a rising Kizomba Instructor on the East Coast. Her depth of knowledge about Kizomba is equal to her talents as a dancer and instructor.
Kimberly Nicole is known for sharing her knowledge and passion of sensual body movements in a fun and enjoyable way. She has taught Kizomba, Tarraxinha and Ginga/Body Movement workshops in some of the best Kizomba and Latin Dance festivals across the Southeast including Atlanta Dream Kizomba Festival, Charlotte Salsa Invitational, Columbia Salsa Summit, Queen City Kizomba Festival, Sawa Sawa Kizomba Festival, and co-choreographed the Ladies Styling Video for Tabanka Dance Fest 2017. In 2014, she founded Kizomba RDU Dance Company based out of Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina where she teaches weekly classes, holds monthly socials and host special events in her area.
Kimberly Nicole has had a passion for dance since childhood. She began dancing at age three and continued her studies throughout high school and college where her earlier training was in jazz, tap, and ballet, later expanding to hip-hop, modern and lyrical. As a young adult, Kimberly Nicole has broadened her dance repertoire outside of formal studio training and has fallen in love with Afro & Latin social dancing including salsa (on1 and on2), bachata, cha cha, and now Kizomba, Tarraxinha and Semba.
