So proud of one of our employees…
We have reached the number one of the Academic Top Ten of the Class of 2026!. Congratulations to Jasmyn Ranquist, daughter of Scott and Richelle Ranquist. Her advice to underclassmen is to “look around you and enjoy it; everything will be over before you know it.” Over the past four years, she has certainly lived this advice. Having earned her academic letter during her sophomore year, this scholar has been busy with Advanced Placement courses and maintaining her honor roll status. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and the Interact Club, where she participated in service projects: Clothe-A-Child, Adopt-A-Highway, community holiday activities, and blood drives. As a three-sport athlete, she has earned awards at all levels in bowling (including Miss Bowling), golf, and softball.
Ranquist credits her grandpa as her biggest influence. “He passed away in 2016, and all I want to do is make him proud.” This allowed her to push through hardships and recognize areas for improvement. She believes “if you can’t stop thinking about it, don’t stop working for it.” She is proud of her work as a bowler. All that practice meant she “qualified for the Junior Gold Championships four years in a row - and I never thought I would have the opportunity to compete once.” Ranquist also takes pride in her three MHSAA Regional Bowling Singles Championships and her MHSAA State Bowling Singles Championship in 2024. “My favorite moment is when I bowled my first 300. It proved that all the hard work had finally paid off, and I got to do it in front of my teammates and my family.”
Making grandpa proud and continuing to work for what she desires will take Ranquist to Cleary University in the fall. She will be studying public accounting while competing as a member of the university’s bowling team and starting “to travel to every US state before I die. My whole life, my family has been travelers, but nobody has ever been to every State. I want to be the first to accomplish it.”
