Dank Sinatra is the latest IPA in our rotating series. It uses copious amounts of dank, resinous and tropical hops (Citra, Columbus, Simcoe and Mosaic) exclusively in the whirlpool and in double dry hopping. We used cryo hops and some new hopping techniques to maximize hop aroma and flavor while minimizing bitterness. We also used wheat, flaked wheat and flaked oats in the mash for bigger body and a soft mouthfeel. The special yeast strain we used produces an extremely hazy appearance with a slight fruity characteristic. The result is a very drinkable, very hazy, very hoppy, classy, and dank IPA with massive hop character and very low bitterness. We did it our way!
