We are very excited to see everyone today for the Dirty Dog Bar 20 year anniversary party at Come and Take It Live. Huge shout-out to Ben, Anthony and the CATIL crew for hosting this event. They are very much apart of our history and we respect, love and support them in all they do. Can't wait to see all your friendly faces! Here is the schedule for the event.

Well. You heard the rumors and it's happening. The Dirty Dog Bar 20 year anniversary party will be happening on Saturday May 3rd at Come and Take It Live. Here is the flyer and lineup of bands playing that day. There will be guest bartenders and door staff from Dirty Dog Bar. Food vendors onsite will include Texas Crab Company and Carter Bros' Pizza. You don't want to miss this once in a lifetime event!

Dear friends, families and bands. Unfortunately as you may have read, Dirty Dog Bar's time at 505 East 6th St has came to an end. Our lease is set to expire on August 31st. We held on as long as we could even after losing revenue from March though today and with no end in sight. The loss of SXSW, Rot Rally, summer tourism and more due to covid has led us to next weeks exit. Signing a new lease right now at a rate that won't allow us to be profitable is just not an option that makes sense. We have been searching for a new location for some time and hope that when the bar ban and Covid restrictions have eased up we will open a new location.

We want to personally thank everyone that have blessed us with the most amazing memories, friends, partners, lovers, kids, bands and much more. You all made DDB what it was, what it became and what it will hopefully continue to be in the future.

Please know that we love each and every one of you.

We are pleased to announce that we are open back up again 7 days a week. It's been a rough few months for everyone. We are booking bands for June, July and August only at this location. Message us today if you would like to get your band booked.

We are deeply saddened and distraught to make this announcement today but the City of Austin has made the decision to force us to close our doors effective noon today until May 1st. This means all shows we have scheduled have to be cancelled and or postponed.

There are no words to describe the negative impact this will cost our business, employees, friends, bands, communities, neighbor venues and bars across the city.

I am hoping we can survive this. We have been up against the wall before.

We love all our Dirty family and thank you so much for all the support you have provided us throughout the years.

Dirty Dog Bar, Dirtyfest and all shows at 505 E. 6th Street are still happening. The city has enforced a 250 person limit on all gatherings. We will adhere to these new requests. We ask that you all support what little we have left.
