In its heyday, this steel blade called a plowshare, once cut through the top layer of soil to break and turn over the earth.

"Beating swords into plowshares" is a proverb meaning to shift from pursuits of war to pursuits of peace, to literally transform from a weapon of destruction and death to a tool of growth and prosperity.

This plowshare went from cutting soil to holding it, a total shift in purpose that I think suits it quite well!

Also, if I can keep them alive, these cacti can NOT be killed! They are very low maintenance plants and for the most part take care of themselves.

You know what they say about one man's trash...its another man's planter! 🌵
